Burton Bridge Brewery is set to expand in exciting new directions after receiving a vital grant through the People, Innovation and Place Programme (PIPP), secured in partnership with Heritage Brewing.
This funding, championed by East Staffordshire Borough Council and the Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce, will deliver cutting-edge equipment - most notably, a state-of-the-art fermentation and conditioning tank designed for keg beer.
For the first time, the beloved Burton brewery will be able to craft crisp, refreshing lager, as well as continue innovating with experimental cask ales - bringing fresh creativity to a classic brewing town.
The custom tank will arrive from Scotland, thanks to local haulier H. Young Transport, and will be celebrated with an inaugural cask ale before lager production ramps up.
Proudly merging traditional roots with new ambition, the brewery promises even more choice for thirsty locals at the Burton Bridge Inn. Read More... |
The latest phase of the Staffordshire Warmer Homes scheme is now open, providing free heating and insulation upgrades to local households who need them most.
The new Warm Homes: Local Grant targets families struggling with cold homes, costly energy bills, or health issues worsened by low temperatures.
Eligible residents could receive loft or wall insulation, modern heating systems, solar panels, and smart heating controls completely funded.
This initiative is managed by Staffordshire County Council in collaboration with district and borough councilsâincluding East Staffordshireâto make homes warmer, healthier, and cheaper to heat.
Funding is limited and will be prioritized for low-income families, those facing hardship, and people whose health is affected by cold homes.
If your winter comfort is at stake, applying soon could mean a cozier season ahead - without higher bills. Read More... |
