All the Good Stuff Happening in Burton!

Thursday 12th June 2025

Trivia Question❓

In 2019, an impressive 1,464 people took part in a giant game during a charity event in Burton on Trent. What was the game they played?

Answer at the bottom of the newsletter

Welcome to this week's InBurton Insider.

It’s shaping up to be another lively weekend in Burton! From yoga stretches in Anslow to model trains at the Town Hall and a gluten-free ale festival in Stretton, there’s no excuse for boredom. Live music is everywhere - Blondie tributes, Mod covers, and acoustic sets from Tutbury to Hilton.

There’s also good news on the horizon: Station Street is getting a glow-up. Sinatras, a brand-new live music bar, is coming soon near The Roebuck. And closer to town, Tokki, a Korean restaurant, will soon be serving up something spicy near The Dial.

So whether you’re disco dancing, dating at Barton Marina, or just here for the beer, there’s plenty to keep you smiling till Monday.

A lorry loaded with Vicks Vaporub overturned on the A38 near Burton. Amazingly, there's been no congestion for over 8 hours!

💡 Answer to Trivia Question:

Giant beer pong! The massive game was part of the fun at the National Brewery Centre’s annual charity event, Burton’s Big Beer Festival.
