Trivia Question❓The first ever Poundland store in the UK was opened Answer at the bottom of the newsletter |
Welcome to this week's InBurton Insider. There’s something in the water this week - perhaps it’s the freshly spruced-up Washlands (catch the new video update), or maybe it’s the arrival of another famous face buying up one of our local pubs. We won’t name names (until later in this issue)… but let’s just say they’ve built a few things in their time. And with over 2,000 of you now reading this newsletter (hello, you lovely lot), we’re clearly not the only ones who think Burton’s got plenty going on. This weekend, the Staffordshire MotorSport Show roars into Uttoxeter, there’s the World's No1 Brass Band at The Town Hall, live music all over town, and even cream tea with a ghost or two at Sinai House. So go on - get out there and enjoy it. You’re in good company. |

Actor and voiceover favourite Neil Morrissey - yes, that Neil Morrissey from Men Behaving Badly and the original voice of Bob the Builder - has just snapped up The Brickmakers Arms in Newton Solney. Looks like Burton’s becoming quite the hotspot for famous landlords!

I went into Dan's cafe yesterday but was put off by the non-stop George Michael music being played. I'm never going to Dan's again.
