Hello and welcome to this week’s InBurton Insider.
A slightly slimmer Insider than usual this week - apologies for the more bite-sized edition. Normal service (and our usual helping of Burton goings-on) will be resumed next week!
There’s still plenty to get you out of the house this weekend, though. Friday and Saturday bring live music, comedy, football, dancing and a touch of Bavaria, while Sunday sees jump racing at Uttoxeter, the Makers Market in Branston and the return of Burton’s Statutes Fair to the town centre.
We’ve also got your weekend weather forecast and the latest Business Bites. So, shorter than usual perhaps - but hopefully still enough to help you make the most of the weekend.

Burton’s beloved Statutes Fair returns to the town centre from Sunday, 4th October, to Tuesday, 6th October 2026, promising three days of fun-filled rides, games, and family entertainment.
The festivities will transform the Market Place and key surrounding streets, including High Street, Lichfield Street, and New Street, with Pat Collins Fun Fairs setting up from Saturday evening to have everything ready for Sunday’s grand opening.
The fair will welcome visitors daily until 8pm on Sunday, 11pm Monday and 10pm Tuesday. Road and car park closures will be in effect from Saturday at 4:00pm through Wednesday morning to ensure safety and smooth operation. Read More... |
