🏡 Branston Locks Expansion   Plans for a further 106 homes on the growing Branston Locks development have been approved by East Staffordshire Borough Council, taking the major housing scheme another step forward.

Burton Albion have added striker Matthew Dennis to their squad after completing his move from fellow League One side Notts County ahead of the new season.

🍷 Old Isabel's Reopening   The former Isabel's building (over the road from the new one) is set to reopen as an over 21s wine and tapas bar. Nathan Dawe has yet to decide on a name for the new venue.

Burton-on-Trent has reached a new milestone in its campaign to become the UK’s Town of Culture for 2028.

As part of the nationwide contest, each town was asked to submit a postcard reflecting their unique community spirit.

Burton’s entry highlights its famed brewing heritage, vibrant arts and music scene, and some of it's well know landmarks.

These postcards, including Burton’s, are now displayed alongside entries from towns across the country, each telling their own story and showcasing local pride.

The Town of Culture programme celebrates culture, creativity, and community throughout the UK, offering Burton a unique moment to shine a light on local achievements and aspirations.

Residents are following progress with excitement as Burton’s bid for the prestigious title gains momentum.

This summer, if you have a problem with ants coming in to your house, just leave a saucer of milk outside. The adult ants drink it and it has an effect on ant reproduction. The young are born without toes so they then can't climb into your house.

This effect is called lack toes in toddler ants.
