Sinai Park House, one of Burtonās oldest landmarks, could soon see a remarkable revival as a fresh crowdfunding campaign aims to ensure its future.
Launched during a spirited celebration attended by Mayor Andrew Riley and local supporters, the project seeks vital match funding to boost a £3.8 million bid to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
This historic site stands as the last remnant of medieval Burton Monastery, with portions dating back centuries - although several areas now urgently require restoration.
The fundraiser targets £20,000, intended to rally community backing and reinforce the bid for preserving this unique heritage for future generations.
The lively launch event in May celebrated the spirit of renewal, featuring guided walks, traditional crafts, and a symbolic hawthorn arch crafted by local students.
Locals are encouraged to rediscover Burtonās rich history while supporting the campaign online. Read More... |
