With the sun still playing ball and June nearly wrapped up (how did that happen?), there's no better time to soak up the best our town and nearby villages have to offer. Whether you're in the mood for music, markets, or a spot of open garden nosiness, this weekend is bursting with events that’ll keep your calendar - and your spirits - full.

Friday brings a feast of live music, from Freddie Mercury to Oasis tributes, and a night at the theatre with The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at The Brewhouse.

Saturday’s a whirlwind of summer fairs, a makers' market, and even a sound bath if you fancy chilling out before dancing the night away with a bit of Take That or Memphis Mike as Elvis.

Sunday’s all about showstoppers - from racing at Uttoxeter to Motorfest at Moira Furnace.

Whatever you fancy, get out there, enjoy the weather while it lasts, and give June the sunny send-off it deserves.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time

The Little Theatre Company returns to the Brewhouse with The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time - a powerful and moving adaptation of Mark Haddon's bestselling novel.

Follow 15-year-old Christopher Boone, a maths whizz with a detective streak, as he investigates the mysterious death of his neighbour’s dog.

What begins as a search for answers soon becomes a journey of self-discovery as hidden secrets come to light.

Expect an emotional, thought-provoking night at the theatre.
