World Record Set Just Up The Road From Burton

It is not every day that a Guinness World Record is broken just up the road from Burton, but that is exactly what happened last weekend at Catton Park.

The Replika Festival, held from 26–28 June, has officially become the world's biggest tribute music festival after welcoming 108 tribute bands across three days of live music. The achievement was confirmed on Sunday afternoon when Guinness World Records officially recognised the new record.

The festival comfortably beat the previous record by bringing together tribute acts celebrating artists from every corner of the music world, from rock legends and pop icons to metal favourites. Festivalgoers enjoyed performances across multiple stages, alongside entertainment, street food and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend.

Thousands of music fans were at Catton Park to witness the historic moment as the record was officially announced before the festival's final performances.

For Burton residents, it is a reminder that one of the world's newest record-breaking events happened almost on our doorstep. Catton Park sits just beyond Walton, making it one of the closest Guinness World Record achievements many local people will ever have the chance to experience.

The organisers have already confirmed that Replika Festival will return next year, with the 2026 event taking place from 25–27 June, giving music fans another chance to enjoy one of the Midlands' biggest tribute festivals - although topping a world record might prove to be the toughest encore yet.
