Brewers Ready for the Big Stage as West Ham Come to Town |
Premier League opposition head to the Pirelli as the Brewers enjoy a rare and well-earned FA Cup spotlight. |
There are big matchdays… and then there are FA Cup against Premier League opposition at home matchdays.
This Saturday, our very own Burton Albion welcome West Ham United to the Pirelli Stadium for an Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round tie.
For just the second time in the club’s history, the Brewers have reached the fourth round of the FA Cup. The only previous occasion came back in the 2010/11 season, when Albion bowed out to Burnley.
This time, it’s top-flight opposition making the trip to Staffordshire — and what a reward for the players, staff and supporters who’ve backed the team every step of the way.
Whatever happens on the pitch, this is a moment to be proud of. Burton Albion flying the flag for the town on one of football’s biggest stages. We’ll take that every day of the week. A Proper Cup Occasion
The day kicks off early, with the stadium site opening from 10am. The Club Store will be stocked with exclusive matchday items for the visit of the Hammers, and supporters will also have the chance to bid online for match-worn and player-issued shirts.
Over in the Barrel Yard fan zone, there’ll be pre-match music from DJ Matt Kel, guest catering from Disco Fries, plus Levio Pizza and Gourmet Street Kitchen around the ground. Inside the Community Building, younger fans can enjoy colouring activities, a PS5 station, and a kickabout on the 3G pitch with the inflatable goal.
By 11.45am, attention will turn fully to the football. With tickets almost entirely sold out, the message from the club is clear: be in early, be loud, and make it an atmosphere worthy of the occasion.
Kick-off is at 12.15pm — and you can be sure the noise when the teams emerge at 12.11pm will be something special.
Back the Brewers
West Ham, managed by Nuno EspĂrito Santo, arrive as Premier League opposition. But this is the FA Cup — and as football has reminded us many times over the years, anything can happen.
More than anything, Saturday is about celebrating how far this club has come. From non-league beginnings to hosting top-flight opposition in a packed-out Pirelli Stadium — that’s a journey the whole town can be proud of.
Win, lose or draw, the Brewers have already given Burton a day to look forward to and a reason to stand a little taller.
So if you’re heading down, wear your colours, warm up those vocal cords, and let’s give the lads the backing they deserve.
Come on you Brewers. |
