Catton Park near Burton made headlines after the Replika Festival shattered a Guinness World Record last weekend.
The event ran from 26â28 June and became the worldâs biggest tribute music festival, hosting 108 tribute bands over three days.
Guinness World Records officially recognised the feat on Sunday afternoon, confirming this unique achievement just down the road from Walton.
Festivalgoers enjoyed a packed schedule across multiple stages with music honoring rock legends, pop icons, and metal favorites.
Alongside the live performances, the festival offered street food, entertainment, and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend.
The electrifying atmosphere drew thousands, offering local fans an unforgettable brushed-with-history experience.
Organisers have already announced the festivalâs return for 25â27 June 2026, promising even more music magic - though breaking this new record will be a challenge. Read More... |
Most people expect a simple eye test and new glasses from an optician, but Optical People in Burton offers much more.
Located in Coopers Square, this independent practice is known for its genuine human care and personal service, a rarity in todayâs fast-paced world.
Run by director Karamdeep, whose passion for eye health is clear, the team focuses on compassionate, thorough care instead of rushed appointments.
Optical People intentionally creates a welcoming atmosphere with longer, unrushed appointments and clear, jargon-free explanations, especially supporting nervous patients.
Already making a mark since opening in November 2025, the practice supports community causes like Burton Hope and Race for Life, strengthening their local ties.
For Karamdeep, serving Burton means connecting with neighbours and making a difference to their daily livesâone clear, comfortable experience at a time. Read More... |
