
Shakespeare Express Steam Train in Burton-on-Trent This Sunday
Witness the historic Shakespeare Express steam train passing through Burton-on-Trent on August 3rd.
Residents and visitors of Burton-on-Trent have a special treat this Sunday, August 3rd, as the renowned Shakespeare Express steam train makes its way through the town.
In the morning, the train will pass through Clay Mills Junction at 10:53 AM, arrive at Burton-on-Trent station at 10:56 AM, and depart at 10:59 AM, heading towards Birmingham.
Later in the afternoon, the Shakespeare Express will return, arriving at Burton-on-Trent station at 6:44 PM and departing at 6:48 PM, en route to Derby.
This event is part of the train's expanded route, celebrating its 40th anniversary and the bicentenary of the modern railway. The Shakespeare Express offers passengers a nostalgic journey through the English countryside, complete with onboard dining in authentic 1960s Pullman cars.
