Burton's Brown Bin Collections Return from 26 January – If you've subscribed!
Garden waste collections restart next week — check your dates and save £5 if you subscribe by 31 January
Good news for green-fingered Burtonians - brown bin collections for garden waste are back from Monday 26th January.
If it’s your recycling week and you’ve already subscribed to East Staffordshire Borough Council’s (ESBC) garden waste service, just leave your brown bin out alongside your blue bin, and your garden waste will be collected as usual. Not signed up yet? There’s still time to take advantage of the early bird offer of £35 for a full year of fortnightly collections. But don’t hang about - the deal ends on 31 January, after which the price goes up to £40. At this time of year, many people are keen to clear leaves, branches and wind-blown bits from the garden - and brown bin collections certainly help with that. But just a gentle reminder: piles of leaves and twigs can be a cosy winter home for insects, bees and other wildlife. So if you’re not in a rush, letting nature lie a little longer can actually be a good thing for biodiversity.
Not Sure When Your Bins Are Collected?
Whether you’re wondering if it’s grey bin week or recycling week — or you’d like to check exactly when garden waste collections restart at your address — you can find all the details on the ESBC website.
There, you can also download a full collection calendar for your property, so you’ll always know which bin to wheel out.
