Burton Beer Barrel Fountain is Saved
Developers withdraw their application to demolish part of Burton's brewing heritage.
Great news!
The Beer Barrel Fountain Campaign Just Took Another Big Step Forward! 🍻
We’ve just had confirmation from East Staffs Borough Council that the developers have officially withdrawn their application to demolish Burton’s much-loved Beer Barrel Fountain!
This is a brilliant result - and a huge thank you to the InBurton Insider and Loving Burton readers who supported the campaign, emailed the council, and helped get the word out. Your voices made a difference. 👏
There’s now a real opportunity to find the fountain a new home elsewhere in town - and we think the new High Street development could be a perfect spot. Just a thought… đź‘€
A win for Burton’s heritage, and a proud moment for local people power! |
