We're a small, family-run independent business based in beautiful county parks and Forestry Commission visitor centres. Our goal is simple – to bring a great high-street café experience to walkers, cyclists, families, and anyone who loves spending time in the great outdoors. Whether you're after a proper cup of coffee, a tasty bite to eat or just a place to relax after a good walk, you're always welcome. We also offer bike hire at Hicks Lodge, so you can explore the trails and we have room hire for those looking for a space to gather, meet or celebrate – all with nature just outside the door. Great coffee, fresh air, and friendly faces – that’s what we’re all about.

Courtside Café | Fresh Food & Great Coffee Nestled by the courts, Courtside Café is the perfect spot for a relaxed bite to eat. Open Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday (9 AM - 3 PM), we serve breakfast from 9-12, lunch from 12-2, and from 2-3 you can enjoy drinks and homemade cake. Whether you’re stopping by for a hearty breakfast, a fresh lunch, or just a coffee and a sweet treat, we’ve got you covered. Visit us and enjoy great food in a welcoming atmosphere!

The Olive Branch Cafe was born from the idea of creating a friendly environment where everybody is welcome to come in for a cup of coffee and homemade dessert or a healthy and tasty lunch. We believe in serving great quality food and supporting local businesses as well as the environment. Our meat comes directly from the Ashby butcher and all our take away packaging is eco friendly! The menu includes traditional items like a Full English Breakfast served in our quirky way, eggs Benedict, healthy salads and also unique foods from abroad. Come in to read a newspaper while enjoying an espresso and brioches like the Italians do, or order our Gyros Pitas for a taste of Greece.

Relax with friends, family and your dogs in a warm, welcoming atmosphere at The Chilli Bean, located at Charnwood Forest Alpacas in Boundary — a peaceful hamlet on the Leicestershire and Derbyshire border, just outside Ashby-de-la-Zouch. All of our food is freshly prepared, with an elegant yet comforting menu featuring breakfast baps, toasties, cakes and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. We offer a wide selection of barista-made drinks and iced teas, and our lovely courtyard provides the perfect place to sit back and unwind. Now proudly dog-friendly, with blankets, beds, treats and a dedicated dog menu available, The Chilli Bean is ideal whether you’re popping in for a quick coffee and snack or settling in for afternoon tea.
