JD Gyms Derby

A fitness centre in Derby.

Derby Leisure Fitness Centre, part of Derby Leisure and Events, formally known as Rolls-Royce Leisure, has been operating for over 100 years. Originally exclusive to Rolls-Royce employees, we are now open to the public, offering a diverse range of amenities to support health, fitness, and sporting facilities. The Fitness Centre features a fully equipped gymnasium, squash courts, studio and a sports hall. Additional facilities include steam rooms, showers, and changing areas. Outdoor sports include a five-a-side 3G Astro Turf football pitch, multiple 9 and 11-a-side grass pitches, a grass rugby pitch, hard and grass tennis courts, and a newly introduced cricket pitch.

CrossFit Derby is a 100% purpose built CrossFit training facility. CrossFit workouts are comprised of constantly varied functional movements (like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running) carried out at high intensity. At CrossFit Derby, you will not find any machines or mirrors – instead, you will find kettlebells, barbells, medicine balls, sleds and tons of open space for running, jumping, climbing, lifting and throwing. The workouts themselves are all completely scalable, which means that a new participant and a CrossFit veteran can complete the same workout.
