Roadworks at the busy Union Street and New Street junctions in Burton are progressing smoothly, with significant work already completed.

Crews have recently removed old ironworks, replaced damaged kerbs, and re-laid paving to modernise the neighbourhood infrastructure. Over the next two weeks, workers will focus on resurfacing roads, resetting ironworks, installing modern traffic sensors, and repainting lines to boost safety and driving comfort.

Overnight road closures from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Thursday, will continue until August 8, helping reduce daytime disruption.

Many thanks for reading this week's Insider.

Best regards,

Chris Towland

I've been to a lot of places, but I've never been in Cahoots. Apparently you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone. I've also never been in Cognito either. I hear no one recognises you there. I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport. You have to be driven there. I have made several trips.
