The Albion Undergoing £316,900 Makeover Ahead of December Reopening
Much-loved Burton pub gets major refurb with new family lounge, revamped bar, and cosy new look
The Albion pub on Shobnall Road is currently closed for a major refurbishment, with plans to reopen on 3rd December following a £316,900 investment to transform the popular community venue.
Housed in a beautiful 19th-century coach house, The Albion has long been a favourite for locals, and this latest upgrade promises to make it even more welcoming. Once reopened, the pub will feature two distinct areas: a lively bar for locals and a brand-new family-friendly lounge - giving guests the best of both worlds under one roof.
The renovation includes a central partition to create a more comfortable layout, helping to provide space for families, friends, and regulars alike. The new Family Lounge will be especially geared towards visitors of all ages, with a refreshed kids’ menu, smaller portions of pub classics, and a build-your-own meal option for the under-fives.
Classic pub favourites will remain on the menu, including the much-loved carvery, and regular offers are also staying put—like the Thursday steak and drink deal from £14. |

Meanwhile, the reimagined bar area is designed to be the ideal spot for a pint, a bite to eat, or to catch live sport, all while keeping the Albion’s signature warm and friendly atmosphere.
With its location close to Sinai Park Woodlands, and a private function room for special occasions, The Albion is looking set to reopen with a refreshed look that stays true to its roots—bringing the community together with good food, good company, and now, a little extra room to relax.
Keep an eye out for the grand reopening from Tuesday 3rd December. |
